Seme
A grandmother’s home is closely associated with childhood memories and objects from another era, many of which are now considered outdated or no longer functional.
Among these objects are the traditional Greek semedakia—decorative lace doilies and runners that once covered tables and furniture, forming a recognizable element of domestic interiors.
SEME draws inspiration from this familiar image and its cultural associations, exploring the reinterpretation of a traditional decorative element through a contemporary design perspective.
